I interned at MultiSoft Solutions Limited for a month, ranging from June 15th, 2026 to July 13th, 2026. I worked within the Information Technology (IT) department, focusing on web development and database management under the guidance of the lead IT manager within the company. Additionally, I learned and acquired skills in system management and maintenance, learning the importance of system backups and interacting with clients to achieve plausible results. Through this experience, I learned many applicable technological skills.

For the first half of the internship experience, I focused on front-end website development using both HTML and CSS. I learned various techniques and by doing so, I was able to fully develop skills which equipped me with knowledge on how to input information onto webpages and create different components of webpages, including a navigation bar, title, background picture etc. I made sure to strengthen both my knowledge and understanding by using what I had learned to develop mini projects such as employee registration forms, which enabled me to acquire skills in webpage development, making them both aesthetic, accessible and navigable for users.

During the second half of the experience, I focused on understanding how databases work, the logic behind them and the various operations used in MySQL. Through this, I was able to manipulate data within the database. I utilized platforms such as Lucid Charts to create diagrams which aid in understanding how the database will function, which is an applicable skill necessary in database management, when planning and developing a database for a system.
Finally, as part of the experience, I worked on back-end web development using PHP. I worked on multiple projects, including a final grade calculator for students and a calculator to determine the number of passes and fails in a school. I also utilized the language to connect webpages to databases, making them function from a client’s perspective. I did this in the form of projects. I created an employee registration form which linked to a database such that employee information was stored in the database.

“Overall, I believe that the skills I learned in PHP would be useful for data manipulation and developing functional, dynamic systems for clients when necessary. Overall, I am grateful for the experience that MultiSoft Solutions Limited has given me. Through this opportunity, my critical thinking skills have developed, and I can utilize my newly developed programming skills, applying them to solve problems in the real world.”
