ACCRA, GHANA | 22nd October 2026

Nyive Health Screening Outreach

The Multisoft Foundation, in partnership with Nyive Health Center, successfully conducted a breast cancer awareness and comprehensive health screening outreach for residents of the Nyive Community in the Volta Region on 17th October 2026. Fully financed by the Foundation, the outreach was supported with logistics, diagnostic test kits, medications, and other essential resources that enabled healthcare professionals to provide free screening, treatment, counselling, and referral services to community members. The initiative benefited 168 residents and reinforced the Foundation’s commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare and promoting preventive health practices across Ghana.

The outreach was designed to increase awareness of breast cancer while providing free screening services for non-communicable diseases. Participants received health education, breast examinations, blood pressure assessments, blood glucose testing, body mass index assessments, malaria testing, counselling, treatment, and medical referrals where necessary.

A total of 168 residents participated in the exercise. Of the 112 women who attended, 108 received breast examinations, with six women identified and referred for further medical investigation following the detection of abnormalities requiring specialist assessment.

The screening exercise also revealed several health conditions requiring follow-up care and intervention. Healthcare professionals identified 21 participants who required further assessment for suspected hypertension, referred two participants with abnormal blood glucose readings, and provided treatment for 13 participants who tested positive for malaria.

The outreach was made possible through the investment and support of Multisoft Foundation, which financed the programme and supplied all logistical support, screening materials, diagnostic test kits, and medications required for the exercise.
